BEIJING, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Senior Chinese leader He Guoqiang stressed here on Friday that relevant departments should cooperate in the country's corruption fight.

He, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made the remarks at a work conference on anti-corruption.

The conference was attended by 13 government and CPC departments, including the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procutorate and the National Bureau of Corruption Prevention (NBCP).

"Anti-corruption work should focus on both punishing crooked officials, as well as building an effective corruption prevention system," said He, also the CCDI head.

He said the corruption prevention bureau should fully cooperate with the CCDI and other CPC and government departments, as well as relevant organizations and departments in other countries in its fight against corruption.
