Bush's 2007 income disclosed

WASHINGTON, April 11 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President George W. Bush and his wife reported taxable income of 719, 274 U.S. dollars for 2007 and paid 221,635 dollars in federal income taxes, the White House disclosed Friday.

    They also contributed a total of 165,660 dollars to churches and charitable organizations last year, according to tax reports released by the White House.

    Bush's income included presidential salary, which is about 400,000 dollars a year, and investment income from the trusts in which his and his wife's assets are held.

    Vice President Dick Cheney and his wife earned nearly 3 million dollars and owe taxes of 602,651 dollars.
